Nantucket’s Dankest Cannabis-Themed Vacation

Here’s some tips for any cannatourists looking for the most fabulous, cannabis summer getaway.

  1. Pop one of our cocktail flavored chews & go to the beach!

Nantucket beaches are arguably some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Some of our favorite ones are Nobadeer, Eel Point, Great Point & Steps Beach. Nobadeer is quite popular, so get there early if your going on the weekend! ACK Surf School has a truck right on Nobadeer where they do surfing rentals and lessons. This is a great activity to do while slightly buzzed. We highly recommend a more sativa leaning strain like Lemon Meringue or Double Tropicanna. Make sure you check the Nantucket Surf Report before going, on Magic Seaweed.

Eel point and Wauiwinet are both drive-on beaches, and thus require a Nantucket Beach Driving Permit to gain access. It is worth it if your lucky enough to have an extended vacation on Nantucket because they are much less crowded and extra secluded.

Steps Beach is beautiful and usually doesn’t get too crowded. It has calm waters and great sunsets. If your on Amelia Drive shopping at The Green Lady, we recommend picking up some sushi from our neighbors at Meat & Fish and watching the sunset at steps. Steps is also a 10-minute walk to our favorite sandwich shop, Something Natural. This is the perfect lunch for a beach day.

2. Smoke a joint and do the Sconset Bluff Walk

This secret walk is one of the best to do on island. A public way moving through resident backyards just on the cliffs edge in Sconset offers some of the best views on the whole Nantucket! If you’re a more avid hiker, try doing the coast-to-coast trail. This trail goes across the entire island of Nantucket and is 25 miles from Sconset to Madaket. You can find this trail by downloading the Nantucket Conservation Foundation app here.

If this walk sounds too time-consuming, try biking it! Even biking half way through the island from Surfside to Madaket is an absolutely gorgeous ride. And after you can reward yourself with a delicious meal at Millie’s!

3. Got munchies?

After a Long Beach day grab a burger at Sandbar! The food and drinks are both amazing and it’s right on Jettie’s Beach.

Our favorite ice cream on island is at Island Kitchen - the animals on a parade flavor is a stoner’s dream.
